Kemankeag is a specical place; a return to quieter times.  The Camp is in the traditional style of an old Maine summer camp.  That means unfinished interior walls in the bigger houses, old fashioned plumbing, and wood fireplaces and gas stoves for heat. There is no TV, but we do have WiFi and cell phone service.

 

Everything functions well, but function has trumped style in the two kitchens.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner for 20 to 40 people can come out of the multiple kitchens with ease, and have for almost a hundred years.  A cook familiar with the camp can be arranged.

 

For a large family reunion or for several families vacationing together, Kemankeag offers the flexibility to house everyone comfortably and without crowding.  Kemankeag has 17 bedrooms, so no room needs to sleep more then two people.  We do not crowd our guests into "bunk rooms".

 

Togetherness when you want it, yet space enough to spread out or take a quiet nap in a busy camp, Kemankeag has it all!
